damn mudslinging political ads

   Huckabee had a Christmas ad, too. I’m surprised that you haven’t heard about this…

   Fox News asked Ron Paul what he thought of it as part of the 6 million dollar interview on the 18th. Specifically, what he thought about there being a ’subliminal’ (not) cross right behind Huckabee’s shoulder while he’s speaking in that ad. It’s a gift with crossed ribbons or a window pane or something. Kinda big and obvious, though.

   Anyway, Paul said that although he hadn’t thought about it much, it reminded him of a quote by Sinclair Lewis; “When Facism comes to this country, it will come wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross”, and followed up by saying that he didn’t think he’d ever do anything like that in any of his ads. Fox was quite taken aback and stammered a quick defense that Huckabee will never be thought of as a Fascist…

   I thought the response was beautiful.

   I did see that and the response, speaking of fascist have you seen any of the smear tactics trying to link Paul to white supremacists.
