That may be true but we still have a year. People are most likely to vote Democrat because they’re fed up with the way things are. Clinton can talk the talk real good but she voted for all the crap that the bushies wanted passed, most recently declaring the Iranian Revolutionary guard a terrorist organization. She also takes money from many special interest groups. A vote for Hillary is not going to change things very much.

I think we all wish something good was about to happen for our country. We may differ on the ways to get there but we all probably agree that things are not going well now. This will change for the better, I have positive hope. I believe in “People Power” and realize that every generation or two Americans rise up and get rid of bad leadership and replace it with something better. Our country would have fell apart years ago if it was but for one bad Presidency. The Constitution is so much stronger than that. That is our Gift. We’re lucky.
Ron Paul is o.k. Not really.
I’m a FDR LIBERAL. A Progressive too. I always will be. It has never let me down. I will never rid my ideals of Americans making sacrifices for other Americans even if it includes a so called ‘welfare state’.
Even if people were ‘mooching off the system’ it would still cost the country Trillions less than what we pay
to Boeing and Lockheed Martin, etc. to continue perpetual war for profit.
This is why Ron Paul so perfectly fails. Privatization. He loves corporations!
He may sound and appear as some new maverick but he is just the same old republican who professes
that “government doesn’t work”. That is total B.S. Government CAN work. It should and does. It has.
But I love the concern my friends show for our country. I wish Dennis Kusinich was taller and better looking.
Oh well, let’s see how this plays out. He’s not the answer either, maybe. God bless/help us.
But Ron Paul, Pete? Stop it. I’m so done with him. Really, I’m done. Forget it. No way.
And Pete, are you even registered to vote? Get that done man.
Love you all and happy holidays!

I have a question. “What is that blue thing floating in my coffee?” Yuck.
I think it’s safe to say that we don’t like how things are, today. BUT, (and I’ve got a big but) what is it, about how things are, that do we not like? That is, what is it that we agree we do not like?
Among other things;
I don’t like the price tag on the war in Iraq.
I don’t like the Executive branch having so much power, specifically with regard to initiating military action, suspension of Habeas Corpus, and the apparent erosion of amendment rights.
What say you all?

Thought that might happen when the Democrats were elected to Congress. Hope that it still will.

John, I totally agree with you on the principals of what you are saying. However besides DK the other democrats are still riding the Bush train. It somewhat appears that Clinton will get the nomination, she is no better than bush in alot of ways, mainly foreign policy. She can stand there and say universal health care but how does she propose to implement it until we stop wasting trillions overseas. I still don’t know where you get the info that Paul is about corporations when he does not get fat money from said corporations. He also wants out of WTO, NAFTA, etc. He is for free trade and an open market. These trade agreements help send our jobs elsewhere, they hurt OUR working class and favor big corporations. If he were so “big business” why would he want out of these trade agreements? Please let me know where you find your information and I will gladly look into it, if what you say is indeed true than maybe I’ll have to support someone else. BTW I am still registered in NJ But I have until April 6 to register here. I also agree that it would be better for Kusinich if he were taller and better looking(I think he hit Every branch on the ugly tree) because right now he comes off as a cranky old man.
I would like to see a Paul/Kucinich ticket.

Pete, I wanted to reply but this post is now dried up. Let’s start a new one. And Dave, that was a good question of agreement about the bad stuff going on but the list would be too long. It would be easier to agree about the good stuff going on. The list would be shorter.
I like the new updated look of the site, Dave. Good Show!
