The main problem I have with the official version is that the towers should have not collapsed but since they did they should have only partially collapsed
if anything at all. Simple physics would show that an object in motion will slow down as it hits each new other object (the floors below). Weight of combined floors would not matter. Remember the feather and cannon-ball
analogy? In a vacuum, I know, but even this would slow it down. The fact that it wasn’t in a vacuum would further slow and stop the fall.
Imagine you pushed some brat on the forehead and he fell backwards at his
birthday onto a birthday balloon. His ass hits the balloon and it squeezes outwards and pops (the balloon I mean). It might be a fraction of a second
but it still offered up some resistance and slowed his fall a little bit. Now imagine 110 balloons under said brat. He might not even land on his ass.
Why do you think they put those inter-cupping shields near hi-way exit ramps? So they can ABSORB energy and not kill the driver who hits one.
The fact the the buildings fell at free-fall speed does not make logical
scientific sense. Each floor and the air trapped in it would have been shock
absorbers compounded by each floor below. The 1st floor was designed to hold the weight the weight of all floors above it. It did for some forty years
no problem. I guess the laws of physics were suspended for a few hours on
one day six years ago. I won’t even get into all the other flaws of the official version right now. But why would anyone not put this past the criminals who got everything the wanted after that day? Do you really assume they would never go ‘That Low’?

Frank there is plenty of room to write something why don’t you voice some sort of opinion instead of just links or one-liners? -Pete

All good, I’m glad you’re participating, I look forward to seeing what y’all got to say.

We should test this with one hundred boxes and 1000 lbs of weight to see if
momentum is seriously affected. Air, especially 70% worth, is the problem
with your theory.
The last two sentences of your your post are a bit telling about your stance
on this question Frank. You seem to be saying “get real” or “get over it”.
I know they are gone, obviously.
I question how something so un-airo-dynamic could fall that quickly. Especially with so much mass in the way to slow it down and/or stop it.
It would be great if we could come up with some sort of experiment to
test our opinions on this issue. If I am wrong I will admit it. I’m not
saying I know that I’m absolutely right. I just have doubts.

Let’s ignore all the “theory” for a second and just consider this.
http://members.cox.net/damor1/wtc-core.html
Quite simply the core of these buildings was pretty strong, the planes hit pretty high up, if indeed the fire burned hot enough to melt the steel than how did these massive structures rooted in bedrock just disappear and allow the buildings to collapse into their own footprint. (how’s that for a run on sentence) It’s true they were mostly “air” but there is no way that all 3 buildings collapsed perfectly, it just doesn’t make sense. Also wtc 7 wasn’t hit by a plane and had no raging fires, why did it fall?
http://whatreallyhappened.com/bbc_wtc7_videos.html
I just don’t see how anyone can not have doubts about 9/11 when you have the BBC reporting the building fell before it did, where did they get their information?

This is a great discussion and good links Pete and Frank.
Frank, I still disagree with you about this. I don’t consider
September 11, 2001 as “a tragedy”. I consider it as a “CRIME”.
A mass murder. By whomever committed it.
That is our government’s official position as well.
Our Gov’t also considers it to be a “conspiracy” by those involved.
Arab terrorists. An easy pill to swallow for average Americans.
Why don’t you question that conspiracy more than disbelieving your own eyes? The buildings fell too fast. It’s so easy to see. For me, I admit.
Here’s a great hypothetical idea. Let’s start a building demolition company
for old buildings that the owners of want to rebuild on.
Instead of wiring the buildings for weeks with charges to bring it down,
all those workers, all that engineering, all that time spent with logistics.
Let’s instead make believe we fly a remote control plane into it.
Boy, we’re onto something here! It’s an improvement on the old way.
It seems to work. Three different times no less! In one day!
Frank, can you at least tell Pete and myself one problem you have with
the official version of 9-11-01. There must be one thing. Come on! One.
You’ve always played devils advocate since I’ve known you. There has to be something you have doubts about.
I’ll await your your frustratingly silly answer with baited-breath.
I love you though.

Hold on, hold on. I don’t think Frank’s answers are silly. Take it easy there, John.
I think he’s considered the problem, and accepts the sources that refute those who suggest that there was anything going on beyond the obvious. We know that two jumbo jets flew into the buildings, and that can’t be dismissed, nor should it.
I lost a friend who was waiting for a bus on the street corner below when that mass of debris and jet fuel landed on him. He died a week later. I know a woman who was on her way down the stairs in tower two when the second plane hit. She describes how the stairs were just no longer beneath her, and then she realized she had fallen to the landing. I don’t know what floor, but this was pretty far down toward ground level because she was shortly thereafter outside and away.
There’s no doubt that an impact of that sort would have significant physical repercussions on any structure. It’s not hard to defend Frank’s views, and they’re shared by most people. It’s not unreasonable to conclude that the towers fell because two big flying bombs smashed into them, especially when there is no shortage of reputable experts who will stand by the conclusion and cite physical reasons for it.
On the other hand, there are a significant number of people who question what occurred that day. Given Bush’s obvious warmongering that has defined the years since 9/11, I personally think that the attack on the towers cannot be put under enough scrutiny. I believe there’s a lot we don’t know. The questions come like the layers of an onion, and even if we peel our way to the center, it’s likely we’ll be left with nothing but tears to show for it.
If the towers came down solely by the influence of the airplane collisions, it doesn’t preclude the argument that Bush had foreknowledge of the event. I don’t doubt that there were terrorists behind the attack (although I do question that the paper document identifying one of the hijackers would be found fluttering around on the street below).
Follow the Money: A ‘put’ option is essentially a bet that prices for a specific stock will fall. In the week before September 11, put options in United and American Airlines as well as for Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch - two of the biggest occupants of the World Trade Center - saw unusually high activity. Most of these investments were placed through Germany’s Deutsche Bank. Although the money from the put options has never been claimed, to my knowledge, neither has it been adequately answered who placed the orders. Why?
Why did that other building fall again? Ok, ok, I know that we’re naive to think that there would be little wing-shaped cut-outs in the Pentagon’s wall a la Wiley Coyote, but why weren’t the telephone poles sheared off by the plane as it came in? Why did many of the interviewed military personnel smell cordite, something they had familiarity with, if it was a plane and not a missile? Why haven’t the confiscated surveillance videos from surrounding area businesses been released? Why did all of the wreckage except for a piece of an engine (allegedly from some other model plane) vaporize?
Occam’s Razor gives us ‘that which requires the least number of assumptions in order to be true is most likely true’. It would be easy to conclude that two jumbo jets packed with airplane fuel and God knows what else brought the towers down. There aren’t many assumptions in that equation.
Do you believe that we have a corrupt Government that manipulates the strings of a Puppet FBI and CIA? Do you believe that Big Oil Money or the Industrial-Military Machine have the power or motivation to manipulate US Involvement in world affairs to further their own ends? Do you believe that foreign governments and entities exert influence on our politicians to push their own agendas? If you do, then it’s not unreasonable to question even this basic assumption. What’s left that we can trust?
It may be that this is all stuff and nonsense, and there’s nothing to it. If, however, some connection were uncovered, say, between Bush and the CIA, or perhaps some involvement with oil companies or big banking or something of that nature - then maybe we’d have reason for greater concern in these matters…
As things stand, I just thank a Christian God that we haven’t got a religious zealot leading our country! The man’s unwavering and intelligent leadership gives me comfort that he’s not anyone’s puppet, and his steadfast defense of the Constitution and Constitutional ideals reassures me that if he’s not carrying out someone else’s agenda, he’s certainly not pursuing his own. That much we can count on, can’t we? I mean, that would be criminal. Hey, I know - what if Osama Bin Laden made a secret deal with Saddam for the Weapons of Mass Destruction and he’s hiding out with them in Iran? Hey, it could be possible - they weren’t found, were they?
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me… twice… - you know, you won’t get fooled again”.

Very nice Dave, I am assuming that last paragraph is pure fiction, pretty funny though. For those of you who find some reality in said paragraph remember, Bush does speak with god, Osama has been dead for at least 5 years, Religious zealots and secular dictators do not get along and Iran has their own “terrorists”. (The administration has declared the Iranian guard a terrorist organization)

Dave and guys. I completely meant the the comment to Frank as a joke.
When I stated, “I’ll await your your frustratingly silly answer with baited-breath.” I was referring to Frank’s earlier posts where he would
answer with a “Dunno”. I love Frank’s humor and was joking back with him.
Sarcasm and ribbing of friends sometimes doesn’t always read back the
way it was intended and I did not mean that with any anger at all.
I respect everyone’s opinion on this subject. All you guys have written great posts so far.
It’s been over 40 years since JFK’s assassination and surveys show that
most Americans now believe there was some conspiracy involved.
So I ask myself- Why work myself up about this 911 thing. I might not
get a good answer to what really happened that day until I reach my
80’s (God willing).
But I also consider the act of tuning out what’s going wrong in the
U.S and the world equally distressing. I know we won’t save the world
by writing a blog or frustrating over issues but at least we can talk.
I’m not saying any of us are tuning out the world but a lot of people do.
P.s: I’ll try to use less exclamation points in future posts. It probably
appears that I’m yelling but I’m not actually.

We missed our flight today actually. That completely sucked. We got stuck
on the GSP in slow-crawl traffic because of a storm.
We leave tomorrow instead at the same time 7:30 PM.
But to answer back to my pals:
Frank, that is an informative website I must say.
I always had my suspicions about the Death-Star and how easily it was
blown up.
(O.K that last sentence was meant as fun sarcasm back to my friend
Frank about the subject that we’re discussing. All cool, ‘gentle fun’ Dave,
I really like the discussion.) Imagine you are in a room with me when I
post. I would never insult or make you feel uncomfortable. That’s me here.
The question I researched on the site was the ‘free-fall’ thing.
I must admit that most, if not all, people could not see whether the towers fell at free-
fall or not due to the dust and smoke plume that rose above the collapse.
The author of the site gives Einstienion (is that a word?) calculations that
I could never disprove. And yet in the same link he states the exact fall
could never be calculated without some super-computer and weeks of time.
The human condition is probably what’s at play here.
Do I trust my gut-instinct or do I trust what I know to be scientificully
provable? If I had to choose, of course, I would pick the latter.
But why does my gut instinct keep annoying me?
I hope I’m wrong. It would be easier to not imagine things like this
to be true.
I have an open mind and I enjoy this talk with my brothers.
I’m going to give the debunking side more of a chance. Really.
No sarcasm intended.
I’ve got to sign off now. Got a plane to catch. Again!
Talk next week!
Peace Friends!

Dave, I like that you’ve put some content on the main page. It looks good. I gotta say I’m thrilled that this post keeps going in our commentary. Where the fuck is Trey, ya know my black friend. Since this had nothing at all to do with said topic at hand, check this out.
