I have to agree with Mike Rivero, you need to watch this.

It’s kinda long but try to watch some of it.

I think the Democratic recount is still happening, but the Republican one is dead. I’m sure by now you know who helped this to happen, but if not….

Good clip Pete. It’s the twenty-first century. You would think that the technology exists (and it does) to record a vote and have it printed out on paper. Diebold already does this with the ATM machines they manufacture.
Does anyone think that banks don’t account for every last cent? Why should our votes be even cheaper?
You guys see how deregulation of corporations hurts the middle-class. We are the people that vote in real numbers. If they’ve figured out a way to screw with our intended vote, then they not only flip the vote to their candidate, but it also has the extended effect of making people feel like not voting anymore because their vote might not count. Then we really lose democracy in even more increments. It’s easier to spread negativity around than positive hope.

This is actually part 1 out of 9. John, I would rather spread positive hope hence Ron Paul. This just shows that your vote really does NOT count.

  4. John says:

I hate writing a whole paragraph only to have it answered by a sentence or two. Remind me not to do that anymore. Sometimes I think you guys don’t want to debate anything more than your candidates name.
Except for Dave, who will write back four chapters-worth of a well thought out answer.

And Frank, my ETOV does count!

Here’s some good reading Pete: http://www.zompist.com/libertos.html

I’ll bet you’ll write back more than three sentences this time. Uh oh. Now I’ve done it…

  5. Pete says:

John, I can’t really debate with what you said in your last post, I agree. Did you click on the links to see that paypal stopped the payment of funds needed for the recount? I’m gonna read what you posted now and get back to you on it.

Hey John, I’m not sure I get what you mean about deregulating corporations hurting the middle class.

In my long-winded view (yeah, thanks for that :P ) I see the biggest threat to the middle class coming by way of corporate influence over our politicians. Or inversely, by our politicians advancing personal agendas in order to bring profits and power to certain corporations or sectors. (cough, cough, oil, military, healthcare, media, cough, cough, cough).

  7. Dave says:

Yeah, my sector’s in bed with the Federal Reserve.

Some days I just want to be like Rocky, that blind hot-dog vendor who set up shop on the shoulder of Route 46 for so many years…

  9. John says:

Dave, Thanks for “getting” my lame backwards joke. I meant that my vote (etov) would count for the other candidate.

And what’s with this cough cough stuff? Should there be a comma between each cough?

We all get it. Cough cough. No need for a comma.

    Isn’t “cough” a weird word?

  10. Dave says:

    Yes, as is chortle.

Commas have been given to us by the creator and should be used frequently, but not too, frequently. Do not disrespect the comma. The comma is there, my friend, to allow the reader to mentally digest, or to pause for “effect”. The comma pales, however, in comparison to the awesome power of; yes, the semi-colon.

Next you’ll be saying there’s no need for pants or llamas, you radical.
