clevermonkey blog » President Says Georgia “None of our Business”

10hootersIn a surprising about-face of foreign policy this morning, the President stated that while he personally regrets whenever a disagreement between two sovereign nations deteriorates into military confrontation, the Federal Government has no Constitutional Authority to choose sides in the matter.

When pressed by reporters, the spurious President elaborated; “The Constitution is very clear. Powers not expressly granted the Federal Government are the province of the States, and they are unanimous on this issue. Their priority is the preservation of jobs and rejuvenation of the nation’s deteriorating infrastructure - rather than funneling more money into the Military-Industrial Complex to supply more arms to Georgia, they want it to do some good here at home. The big boys have been milking that cow for a while now, but that bossy is dry.”

The president’s visit to the Beijing Olympic games was to extend through Monday, but the fast-moving conflict in Georgia has been competing for his attention. “Why can’t anyone just mind their own business? Sit down and enjoy the ballgame, that’s all I’m saying. Ever try these Chinese Hot Dogs? Never had anything like them. Tastes like chicken. Oh, that reminds me- let’s hit Hooters again on the way to the airport. Need one of them paper place mats with the kung fu writing for my collection.”

That’s pretty funny Dave, did you find that or write it yourself ? At least Fox news knows what people want to hear about this conflict…

Too many notes. I like the periodic table o’ the videos…

I liked Pete’s “Neo-Nazi-conspiracy-pen-pal”. And the whole “I hope everything devolves into complete shit so that I’ll be proved right and all you suckers will die because you were unprepared for it” angle. That cheered me up and made me want to buy his racist book.

  5. Mr. Nibbles says:

I’m going to guess that Dave wrote the article because of the use of phrases like “that bossy is dry” and “kung fu writing.”

Here are some pictures from the war. I don’t know who is who, judging from the uniforms these were probably taken in Georgia. *some are graphic*

  10. Dave says:

Pete, the ‘Cold Hard Facts’ post was written by Dr. David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the KKK. Have you considered that there might be a certain spin to it?

  11. Pete says:

Actually I didn’t pay attention to that fact, oops. But in all fairness the MSM is doing the same thing just spinning it in the other direction. Just because he was what he was does that mean that his facts are wrong ?

  12. Dave says:

Nope, it doesn’t mean he’s de facto wrong at all. It just means that he’s got an agenda just like everybody else, and unfortunately, we’re left exactly where we usually are - not being able to tell who to believe.

Skepticism is healthy. But don’t take my word for it ;)

  13. Pete says:

Let’s pretend for a second that this administration has not committed war crimes by invading two countries that posed no threat to the US. Rice has alot of balls to make statements such as these ( in posted article ) given the fact that US backed Georgia actually fired the first shots, killing Russian peacekeeping troops. As anyone who has ever played any sort of war board or video game will tell you ( Risk, Civ 4 ) do not attack a more powerful enemy, then say no stop we want a cease fire. In my opinion Russia has every right to eliminate the military infrastructure of Georgia. I know I sound very un-American in a bunch of my posts, and honestly I am. How much bullshit are we supposed to endure before it finally blows back in our face? What do you say when WW3 happens and WE are the bad guys?

This is a CNN article about the conflict, note the lack of info about Georgia starting it.

  14. Dave says:

I read that CNN article, and you’re right - it doesn’t say anything about Georgia starting it.
Have you got a link to an unbiased source that talks about Georgia instigating?

I kind of have mixed feelings of guilt and relief because the article doesn’t mention me having started it either.
If you have a source that talks about me starting it, I’d like to see that too.

  15. Mr. Nibbles says:

‘Analysts agree the current conflict between Georgia and Russia was sparked by Tbilisi last week when it sent troops in an effort to take control of Tskhinvali, the capital of Georgia’s breakaway region of South Ossetia.”
