For years I’ve heard about the much-dreaded and God-awful root canal, and although I’ve no real medical need for one, I thought I’d sign up and get one anyway to see what all the buzz is about. My appointment’s at 9:00 and I can’t wait! This is so exciting…

Here’s some pulp tissue removed from a root canal during endodontic therapy by a size 20 broach file. Woo hoo!

Charming, isn’t it? I never had a root canal before, so I looked it up on Wikipedia the morning of my appointment. Big mistake.
It wasn’t painful, though. Not in a conventional sense, anyway. I’ll let you know how the crown goes. That’s tomorrow
